This web site (this “Web Site”) is provided OUG PRESS, a division of Ventura Product Commercialization & Rights Management, Ltd., 429 Forbes Avenue, Suite 1212, Pittsburgh, PA  15219-1616 USA (“OUGPRESS.com”).  At OUGPress.com, we are committed to providing you, via our Website, with the very best products and the very best services.  In that regard, we understand how important it is for you to feel secure that your transactions are secure.

Q.  Who Is OUGPress.com?
A.  OUGPress.com is a printing and publishing company operating as a division of Ventura Product Commercialization & Rights Management, Ltd., 429 Forbes Avenue, Suite 1212, Pittsburgh, PA  15219-1616 USA.

OUGPress.com was formed by Gregg Zegarelli, an attorney licensed to practice law in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, District of Columbia and State of Illinois.  OUGPress.com was formed to publish books of philosophy, religion and inspiration.

Q. Do I need an ID and password?
A. It depends upon where you are in the Website.  Some areas require the use of a User-ID and password to help protect your confidential information and to authenticate your identity.  Again, this is important for your protection.

Q. How does OUGPress.com keep my confidential information from being “intercepted” during an electronic transaction?
A. OUGPress.com uses a “secure socket layer”, or “SSL” to transmit you information.  This is an encrypting mechanism to keep your information secure.  This method of securing your data is recognized throughout the world as protective for sophisticated electronic transactions.

Q. What is "SSL" and how does it help keep my information safe?
A. During a SSL session, your data is secured by using public key cryptography. Your computer exchanges key information with OUGPress.com computers to create a private “conversation” that only your computer and OUGPress.com systems understand.  This is the same technology recognized and used worldwide for e-commerce transactions.  The use of SSL requires two components: an SSL-compatible browser and a web server to perform the "key-exchange" that establishes an SSL connection to OUGPress.com Web server systems

Q. What type of website browser do I need?
A. To benefit from SSL technology, you will need an SSL-compatible browser. Examples of SSL browsers include Netscape 2.0, Microsoft's Internet Explorer 2.0, and the Web browser for America Online version 3.0 for Windows. If you don't already have a browser with SSL capabilities, you can download an SSL browser from either of the links below.

Netscape Navigator · Microsoft's Internet Explorer

Q. Do I need to do anything special of connection do I need?
A. Probably not.  Nearly all Internet Service Providers (ISPs) automatically enable the SSL session, as do most online services such as America Online, CompuServe, and Prodigy.  If you have a compatible browser, then there should not be anything special that you need to do.

Q. How do I know that I am in a “secure” area?
A. Most popular browsers will have a “lock” type of symbol at the bottom of the browser screen during secure periods of Website use,  which indicates it is a secure area, that is a “locked” area.  Secure SSL sessions are established on the Website in various areas for your special protection, including all My Account areas.

Q. I am using a office computer and cannot access secure areas.  Why?
A. If you use your company's internal connection to access the Internet and you find you can not access OUGPress.com's secured area with an SSL-compatible browser described above, your company may be blocking access via a network "firewall".  A “firewall” is a system on your office network that prevents unauthorized use of the network, but, occasionally, it is also configured in a manner that affects use of SSL over the network.  Please speak to your firm's systems administrator for further details on your network's Internet access.

Q. Why can I still see some of my account information even after I am in a “secure” area of the Website?
A.
Browser software often "caches" pages.  This means that some pages are saved locally by your computer.  This can allow much faster back-and-forth viewing, because your computer does not have to keep re-loading the same information.  Caching does not affect the security of your confidential User-ID or password.

Q. What should I do if I am using a "public" or office computer?
A. If you use an office or other “public” computer, and if you are uncomfortable that they may view "cached" pages after you have left the station, then please quit/exit your browser software before leaving. This will decrease the possibility of anyone viewing confidential information. No other users will be able to access you’re my Account information online without your User-ID and password.

Q. What are "Cookies"?
A. A “cookie” is a common name for a text file on your computer that reminds the OUGPress.com computer of your particular setup preferences and security requirements.  It also lets OUGPress.com know exactly who you are.  Possibly, a bit more accurately, it lets OUGPress.com know who is the “computer.”  For example, if John Doe uses a computer to log into the Website, the cookie will be updated with John Doe’s preferences.  The cookie does not contain private confidential information.  If John’s wife, Jane Doe, logs into the Website thereafter, OUGPress.com might say “Hi John” because of the cookie information.  However, after Jane logs into the Website, it would then say “Hi Jane”, for example.

Q. Do I need to use “Cookies”?
A. If your browser prompts you when a cookie is sent, you must accept it so that OUGPress.com can ensure that the data is being sent to the proper parties.
Q. After I type in my User-ID and password and then press submit, instead of seeing my account information, I just see the same page all over again. Why does this happen?
A.  You may have your browser set up to reject “cookies.”
Q. I am trying to access the My Account are and I keep getting sent to a page that talks about browsers and security.  Why?
A. OUGPress.com believes strongly that we have a responsibility to protect your confidential information to the best of our abilities.  In order to securely access your My Account information via the Internet, you should use the latest browser versions available.
