ONE Reverse Unification Index Now Online Great news for our readers! With
your help and suggestions, we have been busy at work behind-the-scenes improving
ONE. Finding strength by your kind
testimonials and your
referrals, we continue our mission to create a fundamental tool for the study of
the Gospels by everyone: laypersons, students, scholars and preachers alike—as
one.
In furtherance of our mission, we have
now prepared a draft of a
Reverse Unification Index for
ONE. The
ONE (standard) Unification Index, included in
ONE as published, has
3,000 entries
that take you from each citation in
ONE to each of the four Gospel. The new
ONE Reverse Unification Index takes you from each and every chapter:verse in
any source Gospel back into the text of
ONE.

For example, let's say you are reading
ONE, and you get to the passage:
TEACHING THE LORD’S
PRAYER. 553 And, when he was praying in a
certain place, and after he had finished, one of his
disciples said to him, “Lord, teach us to pray just as John
taught his disciples.”
554 He replied,
“This is how you are to pray:
Our Father in heaven,
hallowed be your name,
555 your kingdom
come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.
556 Give us each
day
our daily bread;
557 and forgive us
for failing in our debts to you, just as we forgive our debtors;
558 and do not
subject us to temptation, but deliver us from the evil one.
559 “If you
forgive others their transgressions, your heavenly Father will
forgive you. 560 But if you do not forgive others,
neither will your Father forgive your transgressions. [For
the Kingdom, the power and the glory are yours, forever.
Amen.]”
From the
Unification Index below, you see
that the Lord's Pray, is contained only in the Gospels of Matthew and Luke;
that is, the Lord's Prayer is not contained in the Gospels according to Mark
and John. You can also see that the introduction in [ONE:553]
is only in Luke and the closing [ONE:558-560]
is only in Matthew. (Matthew 6:9-12 and Luke 11:2-4 are unified
clauses contained in both Gospels.)

So, as you read
ONE, you can constantly verify the source of the text back into the Gospels.
But, on the other hand, let us say
that you are reading the Lord's Prayer in Matthew Chapter 6, Verses
9-15 in the separate source Gospel, and you want to see the parallel
Gospel for that verse and/or you want to see the Gospel harmony in
ONE and how that verse is fully unified.
Before the Reverse Unification Index, you could not
source back into
ONE when starting from the source Gospel. Now even that process is easy. Just go to the Reverse
Unification Index and lookup T6:9, and it easily references you to the
ONE citation of
ONE: 554-560, the
ONE verses that are attributable to Matthew Chapter 6, Verses 9-15.

There is
now a completed reference circle
ONE --> Gospel -->
ONE. For example, from
ONE:560 --> Matthew 6:15 -->
ONE: 560. See how the
ONE:560 end-point in the Reverse Unification Index is the start-point in the
Unification Index, or visa versa!
We hope you find the
Reverse Unification Index to be a valuable resource for the study of
the Gospels by you, your friends and family, and study groups.
